IRIS - Original Watercolour Painting 30x40 cm approx.

Painted over several months, this Iris painting is born out of patience, thoughtful observation and enjoyment of the process of bringing this beautiful, majestic flower to life. 

Based on a reference photo by Carol Hamilton, this bearded iris is actually based on two flowers in a group. I wanted to bring out the ruffled petals and that vibrant centre.

I hope you like it. Its 30x40 cm(approx.) or 12x16 inches. Painted on Fabriano Artistico paper.
