Commissions are very welcome!

Hello there! I'm thrilled that you are thinking of commissioning original art from me!! I look forward to hearing from you! I paint mainly flowers and portraits, but also love landscapes. Do you love my work and style, but looking for a certain size to go in a particular place? Maybe you like one of my paintings but would like it bigger or longer. That’s when you know you’d like me to paint one just for you. Where do you start? Here’s what you need to think about when commissioning art from me:

  • Roughly what size are you looking for?
  • Is there any painting of mine that you’d like me to base it on?
  • What do you like about the painting/s?
  • Where is this for?

Don’t worry if you’re not 100% sure about any of the above! Commissioning an artwork is a special and personal thing and I love speaking to my collectors. When you meet with me or speak on the phone, we’ll discuss and clarify these things.

Common Questions

  • Where do I start?

If you have a rough idea, then the first step is to email me. I will then set up a meeting either face-to-face or on the phone depending on your distance or preference. I am also happy to have a zoom conversation.

  • How long will it take?

While I will do my best to work to your timescale, it’s the best to allow for a couple of months at least from start to finish. Also, you will be the first to know when books are open for commissions when you sign up for my email newsletter.

  • How should I pay?

Once all the details like size, colour scheme are decided, I will be able to calculate the price for you. Payment is usually by bank transfer. A third of the price is due when booking, a third when I start painting and the rest on delivery of the painting. To give you an approximate idea of total costs, I’ve included prices for standard sizes, although I paint to any size.

 



  • Do you help with framing?

Yes I do. Wooden panel paintings come ready to hang. I am happy to do simple traditional framing too for UK based collectors and order my frames from a local company.

Additionally, a review of framing and mounting may clear some of your doubts. In any case, we will discuss your unique requirements during our conversation.

  • What about delivery?

I am happy to deliver or for collectors to pick up the artwork. I can also post for an additional fee.
