Journeying Through Buckler’s Hard - original watercolour painting

A late afternoon at Buckler’s Hard a few years ago, I had the opportunity to take photos of this magical place, with the boats moored in a line in the Beaulieu river. 

Under the vastness of the sky, the ship-building history of Buckler’s Hard was very much evident on the ground with all the equipment lying there. So it very much felt like these modern boats were journeying through time and the river.
